This was a very special board, and being an experiment, I am very pleased with it.

Very often, you get an idea, it does'nt always work, but then that's what pushes surfboard design forward.

This board did work, "Exceptionally"    It's 7ft 8ins x 19ins x 2.5ins and is initially laminated with Cherry and sycamore veneer, (The core is very lightweight Styrofoam made from a solid 8ft x 2ft x 6ins sheet) thereafter it is laminated with hexcell glass and super clear epoxy resin with a high gloss finish making it very tough.

I sold it to a friend at Fistral Surf Company and he says it fly's

It catches waves effortlessly (He is pretty fit!) turns on a penny, Carves down the line and apparently he has even pulled floaters !

A board like this will cost about £390 sterling, for a similar board manufactured with regular materials (Polyurethane foam and Polyester resin) prices start at around £ 270 (Extra for a painted wood effect* or graphics) *Real wood veneer would add too much weight to the board.
